AB? SAMAHAN!
Whether it’s your first time stepping foot onto campus or last time walking into Park Boulevard, we’re so happy to have you here!
What IS Samahan?
Established in 1971, Andres Bonifacio (AB) Samahan is San Diego State University’s Filipinx-American organization. We are built upon the values of our namesake, Andres Bonifacio, who led the fight for Philippine Independence during the late 19th century. Ultimately, we strive to share the rich culture and history we hold as a collective people and uplift our surrounding community in doing the same.

Our general body meetings (GBMs) are from 12 to 2 PM every Friday in Park Boulevard! You can get to Park Boulevard by walking past the Cal Coast Credit Union Office next to Oggi’s in the Aztec Student Union.
WHO’S READY FOR FG 39?!
Friendship Games (FG) is the largest student-run Filipinx-American event in the country, hosted by Cal State Fullerton’s Pasa Kaibigan. FG is built on the values of SPIRIT, PRIDE, UNITY, AND FRIENDSHIP, or SPUFs. Filipinx-American organizations come out from all over the country to compete in field-day events, perform a dance for “Roll Call,” and go head-to-head in chants made by each school. WHO’S GOT THE SPUFS? We’ve got the SPUFS, and so do you; come be a part of FG this year and help take the trophy home! Please keep an eye out on our Instagram for more info regarding FG Orientations, games and Roll Call practices, and deadlines! Hey future mentees — it’s that time of the year! Apply for the KASAMA Program!
The Kasama Program (previously known as KAA) is our mentorship program where incoming members of AB Samahan have the opportunity to be paired with a peer mentor, Mentors can offer guidance in academics or careers, or may even become one of your best friends for life — this program is an AMAZING way to build connections and make friends on campus!

It’s back — come out to our Icebox Social!
 | Hey everyone! Funding Coordinator Rayhan and Social Activities Coordinator Leni here to announce the return of AB Samahan’s annual Icebox Fundraiser and Social on Friday, September 13th! We will meet at the Student Lounge at 2:30 PM after GBM and walk over to the “Pit” (between P3 & P4) where we will be providing rides if you need one. |
Make sure to sign in with an Eboard member and sure to show the digital flyer at the register when ordering. Afterward, we will go back to campus to eat and make bracelets on Aztec Greens next to the Student Union. Feel free to bring blankets, chairs, or games — due to the heat, make sure to bring water and to take care of yourself!

Over the summer, AB Samahan has transitioned to a new newsletter platform called Beehiiv. We are also updating the information on our website to more accurately reflect our values and progress we’ve made throughout the past few years. Please be patient with us, as our website is under construction!
