Mayari Memos: The Stone in the Sand ᨒ ོ ☼

Tuesday, April 15th

Sa langit, may tagpuan din
At doon hihintayin
Itong bato sa buhangin

In heaven, there's a place for us
Wait there
For this pebble among the sands

Our ABLE co-leads, Dylan and Jhanna, are excited to be coordinating elections for AB Samahan’s 55th Executive Board! Elections for the organization occur near the end of the Spring semester and consist of 4 separate events that make up the season. This includes nominations, campaigning, Q&A night, and the election itself.

In order for an individual to be eligible to run, one of the requirements is for them to be nominated by the general body. Nominations will be happening this Friday at our Lazy GBM and further rules on the process can be found in the document below.
Please read through this document if you are interested in running for a position for next year’s board and contact Dylan or Jhanna to be added to the ABLE GroupMe.

꩜𖦹༄ Five Finger Breathing Technique

I recently went to a nursing convention in Seattle and one of the speakers opened her focus session with a breathing exercise. This is a quick and simple one you can use on your way to class or even while waiting in line for food — I highly recommend!

I invite you all to remember that self-care isn’t always bubble baths and retail therapy. Self-care also involves physically regulating your “fight-or-flight” system, which can be done easily through breathing or mindfulness exercises!
