Our ABLE co-leads, Dylan and Jhanna, are excited to be coordinating elections for AB Samahan’s 55th Executive Board!
Elections for the organization occur near the end of the Spring semester and consist of 4 separate events that make up the season. This includes nominations, campaigning, Q&A night, and the election itself. The results of the election will be announced at the end of the year banquet by the outgoing Chairperson.
Please read through this document if you are interested in running for a position for next year’s board and contact Dylan or Jhanna to be added to the ABLE GroupMe.
᭝ ᨳଓ ՟ SOAR’s Tips for Success
To kickstart the rest of the semester once we get back, here are some helpful tips for choosing your schedule from our wonderful SOAR Board!
As a first year, it has definitely been helpful for me to schedule a meeting with my major advisor to make my four year plan! (Ava)
I would add the courses you’re registering for to your shopping cart early (at least a week) so you don’t have to waste time during your appointment searching them up. (Ava)
Save money and time and look into Transferology for class equivalents at community colleges for GEs! (Elijah)
Use the course catalog under GE Requirements section if you want to have an overview of all GE course options that fill out every requirement on the degree evaluation. (Elijah)
When it came to picking classes for me, I had to make the decision of whether it was worth going in person or not especially since I don’t pay attention much in class when I do go — sometimes, online was a better alternative for me. (Kylah)
